BESPOKE & REMODELLING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Bespoke Orders

At Numina Éclat , “bespoke” refers to any jewellery piece we craft to your unique specifications, including designs you request us to customise. By placing a bespoke order with us, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Production Timelines

Bespoke creations typically require a minimum of 8 weeks. This timeframe is an estimate and may vary depending on factors such as design complexity, revisions, and workshop scheduling. During your initial consultation, we will provide an approximate delivery date. Please note the 8-week timeline only begins once a 50% deposit has been paid.

Delays caused by you pausing or postponing the project may result in revised costs due to fluctuating metal prices, and we may not be able to guarantee your initial delivery date.

Design Approval

Once your primary gemstone is chosen, we will provide hand-drawn concept sketches. Up to three draft designs are included; additional sketches will incur extra fees. After you approve the final design in writing, changes cannot be made without incurring additional costs. Changing your mind after work has begun will not be grounds for cancellation or refund.

Please note that sketches represent the intended design but, as all our pieces are hand-fabricated, slight variations may occur. The organic, artisan quality is an integral part of Numina Éclat’s aesthetic.

Cancellations & Refunds

Bespoke, customised, or personalised pieces cannot be canceled or refunded once production has started. Deposits paid prior to the start of manufacture are non-refundable. Bespoke items are special orders and therefore are not eligible for return or exchange.

Remodelling Orders

Repurposing your existing jewellery is a wonderful way to breathe new life into sentimental pieces. To begin, we require your items to be delivered to our studio for inspection. We will evaluate gemstones for wear, damage, or suitability for resetting. Delicate stones such as opals and pearls are generally unsuitable for remodelling due to their fragility.

Risks & Re-Setting Stones

Although we take the utmost care, re-setting stones, especially older ones, involves inherent risks, including the possibility of chipping or fracturing. By commissioning remodelling, you acknowledge and accept that this work is undertaken at your own risk, and we cannot accept liability for damage to stones during removal or resetting.

Should a stone become damaged, we are happy to quote and source a replacement if you wish. Before removing any stones, we will always request your written approval. Once removed, we will clean and measure the gemstones for use in your new design.

Using Your Metal

We can recycle your heirloom metal to create wire or sheet components such as ring shanks, but it cannot be reused for casting new shapes, as casting requires specific alloys to ensure integrity. Please be aware that recycled metal may display slight surface imperfections, a testament to your unique, personal history.

If you provide metal but choose not to reuse it in your new piece, we can apply its scrap value as a discount to your final invoice. All provided metals are tested, weighed, and can be returned upon request.

Hallmarking

All new jewellery we create is hallmarked in accordance with UK law at the Edinburgh Assay Office. When using your own metal in a new shank, band, or ring liner, the Assay Office will assess and hallmark accordingly, which may include a Part Mark if two metals are joined together.

General Terms

Numina Éclat reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. By placing an order, you confirm your acceptance of the latest version of these Terms.
